Known for its austere lifestyle in the USA, the Amish movement has its origins in Sainte-Marie-aux-Mines. This religious community was founded here in 1693 by the patriarch Jacob Amann, in reaction to the loose morals of the local Anabaptist community. This hike, which combines an urban route with beautiful landscape views, will be punctuated by welcome stops to discover the diversity of the local landscape and the history of the Val d'Argent Amish community.
Free of charge.
